Judy Quilts

Mirror Quilt (1999-2000)
I followed a pattern in a Judy Martin & Marcia McKlosky book on borders that a friend gave me for my birthday. Their quilt was called “Long May She Wave," which was way too patriotic and I changed it. I had to look at the book for every block I pieced because the blocks were “mirrow" images just inviting me to make a mistake. The quilt was hand-quilted and I never put it on my bed until 12/05. It’s fun to puzzle as I go to sleep.
