Casey’s Quilt (1996)
What fun to make this quilt – actually it was built. Some of the blocks were appliquéd – a ball, wagon, house, tree, cat, boat, turtle, hand and heart. Other are pictures cut from fabrics. The daisy was for Casey’s great grandmother and one block was cut from a handkerchief that had belonged to his great grandfather. Putting it all together was like building a wall or laying a mosaic tile floor.
